Srinagar, June 27 -- Intelligence-based coordinated operations conducted by formations of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in close coordination with State Police, Excise and Narcotics departments, led to significant seizures and arrests across Assam and Mizoram over a three-day period from June 22 to 24, 2026. The operations were carried out across Upper Assam, Champhai, and Aizawl districts following specific intelligence inputs regarding the movement of narcotics and illegal arms in the region.During the joint operations, security forces apprehended seven individuals suspected to be involved in drug trafficking and related illegal activities.
