Ganderbal, Feb 26, Feb. 27 -- The Tourism Development Authority of Sonamarg has issued strict instructions to enforce NGT directives and Solid Waste Management Rules. All establishments-including hotels, guesthouses, shops, and tour operators-must segregate waste into wet, dry, domestic hazardous, and sanitary categories and hand it over only to authorized agencies. Dumping of garbage in public spaces, water bodies, or forests, and burning of waste is prohibited. Violations will attract strict penalties, including fines, sealing of premises, and legal action. The circular is effective immediately.
