Srinagar, Jan. 28 -- On the directions of the Commissioner, Faz Lul Haseeb, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) launched an intensive, city-wide de-watering operation to mitigate waterlogging triggered by recent snowfall and subsequent snowmelt. SMC deployed men and machinery round the clock, leveraging modern high-capacity de-watering pumps and field teams to ensure swift drainage. All identified waterlogging hotspots have been cleared, with focused interventions in low-lying pockets, major corridors, traffic-prone stretches, and residential-commercial clusters.
