Shopian, Mar 4, March 5 -- Police in South Kashmir's Shopian have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against an individual for allegedly circulating provocative content on social media platforms, officials said on Wednesday. A police official said police came to notice that one Javid Ahmad Khanday, son of Ali Mohammad Khanday, a resident of Sazan Keegam, was involved in sharing and propagating certain videos accompanied by captions and comments.The content was prima facie found to be capable of disturbing public peace and adversely affecting the law and order situation in the area, he said.Accordingly, FIR No. 26/2026 has been registered at Police Station Shopian (Police Post Keegam) under relevant provisions of law, and an inves...
