Handwara, August 1, Aug. 1 -- A seven year old student lost his life after being struck by a landslide inside the premises of a private school in the Mawer area of Handwara on Saturday, officials said. The deceased has been identified as Rehan Ahmad Dar, son of Reyaz Ahmad Dar and a resident of Khudi Mawer. He was studying at Front Line School, Mawer. Officials said the child came under a landslide that occurred within the school premises following continuous heavy rainfall. He was immediately shifted to the New Type Primary Health Centre, Qalamabad, where doctors declared him brought dead.
