Sep sees rise in J&K anti-terror operations
Srinagar, Oct 2, Oct. 3 -- Jammu and Kashmir recorded terror-related activity in eight of the first nine months of 2026, with September emerging as the most active month during the period, according to Jammu and Kashmir Police data cited by officials. The police data showed four terror-related incidents in September and the killing of five terrorists, with no civilian or security force fatalities reported during the month.The month also witnessed the killing of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist Mohammad Asif, alias Hashim Musa and Fauji Musa, in a joint operation in Budgam on September 29.According to officials, the operation was part of a sustained intelligence-led campaign, code-named Operation Sheruwali, which began in May."The focus rem...
