Aizawl, Oct 4, Oct. 5 -- Security forces recovered 2.5 kg of Heroin No. 4 valued at approximately Rs.5.07 crore and apprehended two Myanmar nationals during an operation in Mizoram's Champhai district, officials said. The operation was launched at Zote on the basis of specific intelligence inputs regarding suspected cross-border narcotics trafficking.The operation was conducted by the Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps, resulting in the seizure of the contraband and apprehension of the two Myanmar nationals.The recovered heroin, commonly associated with organised narcotics trafficking, was subsequently secured for further legal proceedings.
