Champhai, June 18, June 19 -- Acting on specific intelligence inputs, Assam Rifles under Spear Corps, in close coordination with Mizoram Police, intercepted two individuals carrying contraband between Tlangsam and Zotlang in Champhai district of Mizoram, leading to a major narcotics recovery. Officials said the joint team launched a targeted interception operation after receiving credible information about the movement of suspected drug traffickers in the area. The suspects were stopped during routine checking, following which a detailed search was carried out.During the operation, security personnel recovered 950 grams of methamphetamine tablets from their possession.
