Srinagar, June 9 -- Clear and crystal-clear rivers are meant to quench thirst and sustain life, not to be polluted or used recklessly for bathing or swimming. Nature is generous, but it can also turn dangerous when ignored or misused. Unfortunately, several drowning incidents have been reported this year from different parts of the Kashmir Valley, highlighting a growing and preventable public safety concern. Such heartbreaking tragedies occur almost every year, yet preventive action remains limited.
