Budgam, July 15, July 15 -- Residents of Pandit Colony, Chan Mohalla, Ustaad Colony and adjoining areas in Budgam staged a protest on Wednesday against the alleged supply of contaminated drinking water, claiming the problem has persisted for the past 15 days. The protest, led predominantly by women, was held near Budgam Chowk, where demonstrators briefly disrupted traffic while demanding immediate restoration of safe drinking water and prompt action by the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department. Protesters alleged that the water being supplied to their households was polluted and unfit for human consumption.
