Srinagar, Oct 7, Oct. 7 -- Several parts of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed rain and hailstorms as the weather turned unsettled, while fresh snowfall was reported from higher reaches of Kashmir, including Gulmarg and the Zojila region. Rajouri district experienced a spell of heavy hailstorm on Tuesday night, with hailstones accumulating on roads and open areas amid a deterioration in weather conditions. Fresh snowfall was also recorded in the upper reaches of Kashmir, particularly in the Afarwat-Gulmarg belt and towards Zojila. Meanwhile, rain and drizzle were reported in lower-lying areas.
