Srinagar, July 1, July 2 -- Kashmir's upcoming wedding season could face a shortage of mutton following a levy-related dispute in Punjab that has disrupted the transportation of livestock to the Valley, raising concerns among traders, butchers and consumers. The supply of sheep from Rajasthan and other northern states, which forms the backbone of Kashmir's mutton market, has reportedly slowed after transporters and livestock traders expressed concern over the imposition of levies and additional charges in Punjab.
