Awantipora, June 14, June 15 -- Awantipora Police has registered a case under the provisions of the POCSO Act following a complaint alleging sexual assault of a minor child. Acting promptly on the complaint, Police Station Awantipora registered FIR No. 143/2026 under of the POCSO Act against the accused person and initiated investigation into the matter. The Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Pulwama was informed immediately as per prescribed procedures. A police team facilitated the medical examination of the victim child and completed all necessary legal and procedural formalities.
