Petitions Committee reviews food adulteration cases, calls for stringent enforcement
Srinagar, July 7 -- The Committee on Petitions of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, under the Chairmanship of Peerzada Farooq Ahmad Shah, today examined the petitions pertaining to the adulteration of essential food commodities in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Action Taken Report thereof. The Committee also reviewed a petition regarding the appointment and confirmation of a Lumberdar in Porwara, Chadoora. Legislators Mir Mohammad Fayaz, Javaid Riyaz (Bedar), Dr Sajjad Shafi along with Secretary JKLA Manoj Kumar Pandit, Commissioner FDA J&K Khalid Jahangir, Joint Commissioner Food Safety, State Drug Controller, ADCs Srinagar, Budgam and Baramulla along with other senior officers from the concerned departments w...
