Srinagar, Sept. 1 -- The meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Bishkek carries significance far beyond the warmth of their personal rapport. At a time when the Ukraine conflict continues to consume lives, resources and diplomatic capital, Modi's unequivocal message-that the world must move from "endless war" towards an end to war-deserves serious attention.
