Srinagar, Aug 10, Aug. 10 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has congratulated Jammu and Kashmir artisans Manzoor Ahmad Hajam and Fayaz Ahmad Wani on receiving the prestigious National Handloom Award from the President of India. The two weavers from Jammu and Kashmir were honoured for their exceptional craftsmanship in weaving the traditional Chanddar Kani Shawl. Omar Abdullah said the recognition celebrates the rich handloom heritage of Jammu and Kashmir and the artistic skill of its artisans. He said the government remains committed to empowering local artisans, preserving traditional crafts and providing J&K's indigenous handloom products greater recognition at national and international platforms.
