Srinagar, Sep 08, Sept. 8 -- President Droupadi Murmu has entrusted Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena with the additional responsibility of discharging the functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir during the absence of incumbent LG Manoj Sinha, who has proceeded on leave. According to an official communique issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan, Saxena will perform the duties of the J&K Lieutenant Governor in addition to his existing responsibilities as LG of Ladakh until Sinha resumes office. Saxena assumed charge as the fourth Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh on March 13, 2026, following his tenure as Lieutenant Governor of Delhi from 2022 to 2026.
