Srinagar, Oct 12, Oct. 12 -- The Centre for Women's Studies and Research (CWSR) at the University of Kashmir (KU) held a day-long programme at the Main Campus to mark the International Day of the Girl Child. School students from Class 8 onwards, teachers and University faculty members took part in discussions on girls' rights, education and well-being.The programme gave students an opportunity to learn about issues affecting their lives, share their views and take part in conversations about their rights and future.In her presidential address Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof Nilofer Khan, said every girl should have equal opportunities to learn, grow and realise her potential.
