Kargil, July 23, July 23 -- Kargil Police have directed all landlords and property owners to complete mandatory tenant verification, following an order issued by the District Magistrate under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. As per the advisory, landlords, house owners, attorney holders, and those renting out residential or commercial properties must submit the prescribed tenant verification form, containing complete details of their tenants, to the concerned police station within seven days. The form must be signed by both the landlord and the tenant.
