Dimapur, July 27, July 28 -- On the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas, formations of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles under Spear Corps paid heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the 1999 Kargil War, with solemn commemorative events held across Northeast India. Wreath-laying ceremonies were conducted at prominent war memorials, including the Walong War Memorial in Arunachal Pradesh, Shantivan War Memorial in Manipur, and Albert Ekka War Memorial in Tripura, where soldiers and officials honoured the courage, valour and sacrifice of the Kargil heroes.As part of the commemorations, special outreach programmes were organised for Veer Naris, war widows and ex-servicemen at Senapati, Andro, Modi and Agartala.
