Srinagar, Aug. 19 -- Intelligence-based joint operations by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, in coordination with the Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh Police, led to the apprehension of 28 cadres and over-ground workers (OGWs) and the recovery of 58 weapons, explosives and other war-like stores across the two northeastern states between August 7 and 15. The operations were conducted by formations under the Spear Corps following specific intelligence inputs and covered several districts considered sensitive from a security perspective.In Manipur, joint teams operated across Imphal East, Kangpokpi, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur and Tamenglong districts.
