Srinagar, Sep 17, Sept. 17 -- Jammu and Kashmir has been ranked 27th among 36 states and Union Territories in the India Electric Mobility Index 2025, highlighting gaps in policy support, charging infrastructure and research despite an improvement in its overall ranking. According to the index, Jammu and Kashmir scored 31 points against the national average of 42, placing it 11 points below the national benchmark. Among 12 hilly and northeastern states and Union Territories, it ranked sixth. The assessment identified several areas where the Union Territory received no points.
