Srinagar, Sept. 10 -- Srinagar/Jammu and the Lesson of the 2014 Flood Srinagar is the best example of why such an approach is necessary. Historically the city has grown around the Jhelum River and a connected system of wetlands, marshes, channels and natural areas designed to retain floods.
