Srinagar, Oct 6, Oct. 6 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved land for the installation of mobile towers in 12 underserved areas across the Union Territory to improve telecom connectivity. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said the land has been approved in Uri, Tangmarg, Karnah, Kalakote, Kralpora, Basantgarh, Khour, Latti Marothi, Banihal, Pogal Paristan, Ramsoo and Qila Darhal under the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF). The initiative is aimed at expanding high-speed mobile and telecom services in areas that currently have limited connectivity.
