Srinagar, March 15, March 16 -- Army on Sunday said troops foiled an infiltration attempt in the Uri sector of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, killing a Pakistani terrorist during an overnight operation. It was the first infiltration attempt along the Line of Control this year in Kashmir.In a post on X, Army's Srinagar based Chinar Corps said based on a specific intelligence input provided by J&K police regarding an infiltration attempt, a joint operation was launched on intervening night of March 14-15 in Gen area Buchhar, Uri sector."The troops spotted suspicious movement of a terrorist in the thicket.
