Srinagar, April 2 -- In Sanatan Dharma, each day of the week is dedicated to a particular deity, and Tuesday is considered sacred to Lord Hanuman, the ardent devotee of Lord Shri Ram. Hanuman Jayanti, also known as Hanuman Janmotsav, is celebrated every year on the full moon day (Purnima) of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra with great devotion and enthusiasm. This year, the auspicious festival falls on April 2.
