FRS leads to OGW detention at Nunwan
Srinagar, July 13, July 14 -- In a significant success for the technology-enabled security grid deployed for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, police in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir detained an Over Ground Worker (OGW) at the X-Ray Point Nunwan, after the Facial Recognition System (FRS) generated a timely alert. Police said the individual was identified as Faisal Muzaffar a resident of Babhara, Pulwama.Acting swiftly on the FRS alert, police personnel intercepted and apprehended the individual for verification and further legal proceedings, they said.Four OGWs were arrested in Anantnag in two separate operations over the last one week with the help of the FRS.The successful detection highlights the effectiveness of advanced surveillan...
