Four Booked in Alleged Rs.2.50 Crore Shawl Fraud Case in Srinagar
Srinagar, July 23, July 23 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Kashmir, of the Crime Branch Jammu and Kashmir has filed a charge sheet against four individuals in connection with an alleged cheating case involving the supply of high-value shawls worth over Rs.2.50 crore. The charge sheet was presented before the Court of the Sub Judge Small Causes, Srinagar, in FIR No. 55/2022 registered under Sections 420, 120-B, and 201 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC). According to the Crime Branch, the accused have been identified as Arshid Ahmad Shora alias Bilal of Pakhribal Botakadal, Lalbazar; Firdous Ahmad Mir of Abikarpora, Rainawari, presently residing at Mallabagh; Firdous Ahmad Bhat of Amda Kadal, Lalbazar; and Aftab Ahmad Shah of Khawabazar, ...
