Imphal, Sep 22, Sept. 23 -- In separate intelligence-based joint operations, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations under Spear Corps, in coordination with Manipur Police, recovered 15 weapons, ammunition and other war-like stores from Bishnupur and Imphal West districts. In Bishnupur district, a joint team recovered three weapons concealed in the backwaters of Loktak Lake. The recovery was made during a coordinated search operation based on specific intelligence inputs.In a separate operation, security forces recovered a cache of 12 weapons along the Akham-Lamdeng Road in Imphal West.The operations were conducted as part of ongoing efforts by security forces to detect and recover illegally held arms and ammunition in vulnerable area...
