Srinagar, Sep 08, Sept. 8 -- Five films by filmmakers from Jammu and Kashmir have been selected for the J&K Select Section, the competitive category of the first International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir (IFFJK) 2026. The films were shortlisted on the recommendations of the festival's Preview Committee after reviewing the submissions and assessing their artistic quality and suitability for the competitive section. The selection brings together varied genres, narratives and cinematic perspectives, with a strong focus on Jammu and Kashmir's cultural heritage, social realities and lived experiences.
