Srinagar, August 25, Aug. 25 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K has filed a chargesheet against a man accused of allegedly cheating a family by promising to provide medicines for a cancer patient at discounted rates. According to the Crime Branch, the chargesheet was presented before the Court of Sub-Judge Srinagar against Afaq Ahmad Thug, son of Ghulam Qadir, a resident of New Colony Hazratbal near Shiwala Mandir, Anantnag, currently residing in Sunjwan, Jammu. The case relates to FIR No. 25/2026 registered under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
