Srinagar, May 24, May 25 -- With Eid-ul-Azha approaching, the Eidgah area of Srinagar witnessed a massive rush of buyers and sellers as the seasonal livestock trade gained momentum on Sunday. A large number of people from different parts of the city and adjoining areas thronged the makeshift animal markets set up in and around Eidgah to purchase sacrificial animals. Cattle, sheep, and goats dominated the trade as families engaged in bargaining and finalising deals ahead of the festival.Traders said the footfall has increased significantly over the past few days, with demand expected to peak as Eid draws closer.
