Srinagar, May 14, May 15 -- J&K's Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on Thursday said that 806 persons have been arrested and 724 NDPS cases have been registered since the launch of "Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir (Drug-free Jammu and Kashmir) campaign last month.Addressing the media in Srinagar, DGP said the "Nasha Mukt Abhiyan," launched on April 11 by J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has led to a sharp rise in action against drug networks, with a nearly seven-fold increase in NDPS cases compared to the corresponding period last year.Giving details of the anti-narcotics operations, Prabhat said 724 FIRs have been registered and 806 persons arrested during the campaign so far.
