CUKashmir observes 'World Mental Health Day,
Srinagar, Oct. 10 -- Central University of Kashmir's (CUKashmir), Student Mental Health Task Force, today observed the "World Mental Health Day 2026" by organising a one-day programme on the theme "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change," at Tulmulla campus. Speaking on the occasion, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool, highlighted the importance of acceptance, open communication and mutual trust in addressing mental health challenges, particularly within educational institutions. He observed that stigma and the reluctance to acknowledge emotional difficulties often prevent individuals from receiving timely support. "There is first, that we don't accept it.
