Consumers decry spike in egg, vegetable prices
Srinagar, July 10, July 11 -- Consumers across Jammu and Kashmir have voiced concern over the sharp increase in the prices of eggs, fruits, and vegetables, alleging that the authorities have failed to regulate market rates or conduct regular inspections to curb overpricing. Several consumers said the price of a tray of eggs has surged to between Rs 230 and Rs 240 in local markets, describing the increase as unprecedented.
