Srinagar, Oct 27, Oct. 27 -- In a major fillip to boost the artisans of Kashmir's famed handicrafts sector, the Union Ministry of Textiles, has released an amount of Rs.30.46 lakh under its premier National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP) for distribution of improved toolkits and skill upgradation in traditional crafts of hand-knotted Carpet, Sozni Embroidery, Papier Mache and Walnut Wood Carving.The Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Kashmir, shall be the Implementing Agency for the said interventions under NHDP.
