Baramulla, Sep 7, Sept. 8 -- The Department of Youth Services & Sports, District Baramulla, today commenced the Inter-Zonal District-Level Football Competition for Under-17 Boys at Prof. Showkat Ali Stadium, Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla, with 18 educational zonal teams participating in the championship. The opening day witnessed five competitive encounters, with young footballers displaying impressive skill, determination and sporting spirit. Dangiwacha defeated Wagoora 3-0, Baramulla defeated Singpora Pattan 2-0, Pattan defeated Chandanwari 3-0, Sopore defeated Rohama 2-1, while Singpora Kalan defeated Baramulla 3-0.As per the competition schedule, six matches will be played tomorrow at the same venue.
