Baramulla, Aug 9, Aug. 10 -- Continuing its sustained crackdown on illegal sand extraction and unauthorized transportation of minerals, police in Baramulla seized three vehicles and booked three vehicles at different locations across the district. During naka checking at Delina, a tipper bearing registration No. JK01M-8252 was intercepted while carrying sand without a valid royalty permit. The vehicle was released after necessary action under the MMDR Act. Meanwhile, a raid was conducted at Pachhar Ghat, Jahama, a known point of illegal sand extraction. During the operation, the drivers attempted to flee but were intercepted. Two tractors involved in illegal sand extraction were seized are JK02B-1770 and JK13C-0752. Necessary legal action...
