Pahalgam, April 21, April 22 -- A year after the deadly terror attack that killed 25 tourists and a local resident, Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam continues to remain closed to visitors, even as tourist activity gradually returns to the hill resort. The April 22, 2025 attack had a major impact on tourism in the region, pushing visitor numbers sharply down and leading to the closure of several destinations, including Baisaran, also known as "Mini Switzerland." While some tourist spots have reopened over the past year, Baisaran remains out of bounds, with security checkpoints restricting access beyond a certain point.At the entry point, authorities have installed a memorial bearing the names of 26 victims, including local pony rider Adil Shah....
