Dimapur, June 16, June 17 -- As part of its ongoing outreach initiative, the Assam Rifles conducted a welfare visit to the residences of three veterans of the 1962 Indo-China conflict in Chapakhowa, Sadiya, in Assam on 16 June 2026. The team met and interacted with Ex-Rfn/GD Dal Bahadur Limbu (94), Ex-Rfn/GD Bhim Bahadur Gurung (92), and Ex-Rfn/GD Bal Bahadur Rai (94), all of whom served with distinction during the Sino-Indian War while serving in the Assam Rifles.During the visit, officials assessed the veterans' health conditions, provided medical consultations, and extended assistance as required.
