Thoubal, Mar 14, March 15 -- In a step aimed at promoting sports and encouraging youth engagement, the Assam Rifles under the aegis of Spear Corps upgraded a badminton court at Leishangthem in the Thoubal district of Manipur on March 13. The initiative was carried out under the Army's civic outreach programme, Operation Sadbhavna, which focuses on strengthening ties with local communities while promoting development and youth-oriented activities in remote and sensitive regions.Officials said the upgraded facility will provide local youth with improved sports infrastructure and a dedicated space to practice badminton and other recreational activities.
