Imphal, Aug 28, Aug. 29 -- Assam Rifles recovered approximately Rs.75 lakh in unaccounted cash during two intelligence-based operations conducted at Chassad in Kamjong district of Manipur on August 24 and 26, officials said. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, Assam Rifles personnel launched targeted checking operations to prevent the movement of illicit and unaccounted cash in the border area.During the first operation on August 24, troops intercepted a white Bolero at RP Gate, Chassad. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of Rs.45.10 lakh, which was allegedly concealed inside the vehicle.
