Radhanagar, Sep 12, Sept. 13 -- Assam Rifles conducted a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Radhanagar on September 11 to commemorate Rifleman (Late) Bishwanath Kachhap of 28 Assam Rifles, who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation on the same day in 2010. During the ceremony, wreaths were laid in honour of the fallen soldier by the Subedar Major, Adjutant, Second-in-Command and Commandant of the battalion.All ranks of the unit attended the ceremony and observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to Rifleman Kachhap and in remembrance of his courage and sacrifice.The ceremony served as a tribute to the soldier's dedication to duty and his ultimate sacrifice while serving the nation.
