Srinagar, March 16 -- In a coordinated rescue operation, personnel from the Assam Rifles under Spear Corps successfully recovered a civilian truck that had slipped into a roadside ditch near Maram Khullen village along National Highway 129A. The incident occurred when the truck, en route through the hilly terrain of southern Manipur, lost control and veered off the road, landing in a deep ditch. Fortunately, the driver and accompanying personnel were unharmed, but the vehicle was left stranded, blocking part of the highway and posing a risk to other commuters.Responding promptly, the Assam Rifles team deployed a combination of heavy machinery, including a JCB and a recovery vehicle, to carefully extract the truck.
