Shimla , April 20, April 21 -- Assam Rifles reaches out to veer nari in Himachal Pradesh in continuation of its outreach efforts, the HQ DGAR Veteran Cell team visited Veer Nari Mrs Sharda Devi, wife of Late Rfn/GD Krishan Chand (20 AssamRifles), at her residence in District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh on 19 April 2026. Rfn Krishan Chand made the supreme sacrifice in 1982 in Nagaland, leaving behind his young family. Despite facing significant hardships, Mrs Sharda Devi displayed remarkable resilience by raising her son and supporting her extended family.
