Srinagar, Oct 10, Oct. 11 -- Filmmaker Ali Emran is carving a distinctive path in Kashmiri cinema, combining indigenous storytelling, philosophical exploration and cinematic experimentation with a broader vision of building a sustainable film industry in the region. With around a dozen films to his credit, including four feature films-three of them in the Kashmiri language-Emran has consistently explored Kashmir's cultural heritage, spiritual traditions and social realities through independent filmmaking.
