Srinagar, July 16 -- In a move aimed at regulating tourist inflow and improving visitor management, the authorities have introduced new guidelines in Gulmarg, making it mandatory for day tourists without confirmed overnight accommodation to leave the hill resort by 5:00 PM. The decision has been taken to streamline tourism activities, ease pressure on local infrastructure and ensure better management of accommodation facilities in one of Kashmir's most visited tourist destinations.Under the new guidelines, only tourists with valid bookings in hotels, guest houses or other registered accommodation facilities will be permitted to stay beyond 5:00 PM.
