Anantnag, July 26, July 27 -- In a significant action against drug trafficking, Anantnag Police today apprehended a notorious drug peddler, Rouf Ahmad Nanda, son of Abdul Hameed Nanda, a resident of Dugpora Khanabal, who had been evading the execution of a detention warrant issued under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act, as well as court-issued warrants. The accused is involved in four NDPS cases registered in District Anantnag and had been absconding to avoid legal proceedings.
