Budgam, Sep 19, Sept. 20 -- Police have apprehended an absconding accused from Hawal area of Srinagar in connection with multiple cheque-bounce cases and a cheating case registered at Police Station Magam, officials said. The accused was identified as Reyaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Attina, Beerwah. Police said he was wanted in connection with FIR No. 26/2024 registered at Police Station Magam under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code and was also figuring in the absconder/missing list maintained by Police Station Beerwah.Police said the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Budgam, had issued a warrant against Dar in connection with proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, which deals with dishonour of cheques.Acting on spec...
