41 arms seized, 12 militants held in Manipur
Imphal, July 20, July 21 -- Security forces have recovered 41 weapons, explosives and other war-like stores while apprehending 12 insurgent cadres during a series of intelligence-based joint operations conducted across Manipur between July 12 and 18, officials said. The operations were launched by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps, in close coordination with the Manipur Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) and other Central Armed Police Forces.The coordinated raids were carried out across both hill and valley districts, including Kakching, Tengnoupal, Imphal East, Imphal West, Churachandpur, Jiribam, Thoubal, Chandel and Kangpokpi, based on specific intelligence inputs regarding ...
